Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using the We Are Circular platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including students, teachers, volunteers, school administrators, and any other registered users.

The Platform is designed for use by school-going students and educational institutions in Mysuru, Karnataka, India. To register: • Students must be enrolled in a participating school. • Volunteers must be associated with a registered school. • School Admins must be authorised representatives of their institution. • All users under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to register. We Are Circular reserves the right to verify eligibility and reject or deactivate accounts that do not meet these criteria.

When you create an account on the Platform, you agree to: • Provide accurate, complete, and current information. • Maintain the security of your password and account credentials. • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. We Are Circular reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not: • Submit false or fabricated waste collection data. • Attempt to manipulate Eco Points, RCS scores, or leaderboard rankings. • Harass, bully, or harm other users on the Platform. • Upload or share content that is offensive, illegal, or violates the rights of others. • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems. • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform. Violations may result in immediate account suspension and, where applicable, reporting to relevant authorities.

By submitting waste collection records on the Platform, you confirm that: • The items submitted are genuine and were physically collected by you. • The quantities, weights, and descriptions provided are accurate to the best of your knowledge. • The items comply with our accepted categories (currently Plastic and Garments). We Are Circular and its volunteers reserve the right to reject, modify, or remove submissions that are found to be inaccurate or fraudulent. Eco Points awarded for rejected submissions will be reversed.

Eco Points are a virtual currency awarded for verified waste submissions. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. • Eco Points are awarded at the discretion of We Are Circular and may be adjusted or revoked if submissions are found to be fraudulent. • Rewards redeemable with Eco Points are subject to availability and may change without notice. • We Are Circular reserves the right to modify the Eco Points system, including point values and reward thresholds, at any time.

We Are Circular collects and processes personal data in accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws. By using the Platform, you consent to: • Collection of your name, email address, school details, and waste submission data. • Use of your data to operate the Platform, generate impact reports, and communicate with you. • Sharing of anonymised, aggregated data with partner organisations and recyclers. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Student data is treated with the highest level of care and is never shared without institutional consent. All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software — is the property of We Are Circular or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our express written permission.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We Are Circular does not warrant that: • The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. • The information on the Platform is accurate, complete, or current. • The Platform will meet your specific requirements. We Are Circular shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

We Are Circular reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mysuru, Karnataka.
