We Are Circular
The Process

How We Are Circular Actually Works

From your home to a certified recycler — here is the complete journey of every plastic bottle and old garment collected through our platform.

01
🎒

Students Collect at Home

Students gather plastic waste (bottles, wrappers, sachets) and old garments (clothes, uniforms, bags) from their homes. No minimum quantity required — every item counts.

  • Plastic bottles & containers
  • Food wrappers & sachets
  • Old clothes & uniforms
  • Bags & accessories
02
📱

Log the Submission

Students log each item on the We Are Circular platform — selecting the brand, quantity, weight (optional), and where it was purchased. A QR code or barcode scanner makes this instant.

  • Select category (Plastic / Garment)
  • Choose brand from 200+ options
  • Enter quantity and weight
  • Scan barcode for auto-fill
03
🤝

Volunteer Verifies

A trained school volunteer physically inspects the submitted items, confirms the quantity and weight, and approves the submission. They generate a QR-coded label for each bag.

  • Physical inspection of items
  • Weight verification on scale
  • QR label generation
  • Bag packed and sealed

Materials Dispatched to Recyclers

Verified bags are collected from schools and dispatched to certified recyclers and upcyclers. Plastic is processed into recycled pellets; garments are sorted for donation or fibre recycling.

  • Pickup from school
  • Sent to certified recyclers
  • Plastic → recycled pellets
  • Garments → donated or upcycled

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

Is there a minimum quantity to submit?

No! Even a single plastic bottle or one old t-shirt counts. Every submission earns Eco Points and contributes to your school's impact.

What types of plastic are accepted?

We accept all clean, dry plastic — PET bottles, HDPE containers, food wrappers, sachets, shampoo bottles, and more. Contaminated or wet plastic cannot be processed.

How are Eco Points calculated?

Points are based on the weight and category of the submission. Plastic earns 10 points per kg; garments earn 8 points per kg. Bonus points are awarded for milestones and streaks.

What happens to the collected materials?

Plastic is sent to CPCB-registered recyclers who process it into recycled pellets. Garments are sorted — wearable items are donated to NGOs, and unusable textiles are recycled into new fibres.

Can I submit items from outside my school?

Yes! You can bring items from home, from neighbours, or from community collection drives. The more you collect, the more impact you create.

How do I know my submission was approved?

You will receive a notification on the platform once your volunteer approves your submission. Your Eco Points will be credited immediately after approval.
