We Are Circular
Our Story

Turning Waste Into Responsible Citizens

We Are Circular is a school-based sustainability platform that empowers students across Mysuru to collect, track, and recycle plastic waste and old garments โ€” earning eco points and building lifelong habits of environmental responsibility.

Our Mission

To build a generation of environmentally conscious young citizens by making waste collection a rewarding, measurable, and celebrated activity in schools. We believe every piece of plastic collected is a step toward a cleaner India โ€” and every student who participates becomes a champion for the planet.

Our Vision

A circular economy where nothing goes to waste โ€” starting from the classroom. We envision a Mysuru where every school is a hub of sustainability, where students compete not just in academics but in environmental impact, and where the habits formed today shape the India of tomorrow.

The Problem We Are Solving

India generates over 3.5 million tonnes of plastic waste every day. A significant portion of this comes from households with school-going children โ€” yet schools have no structured system to address it.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ

Untracked Waste

Plastic bottles, wrappers, and old clothes end up in landfills with no accountability or awareness.

๐Ÿ“š

No School System

Schools lack the tools, incentives, and infrastructure to engage students in waste management.

๐ŸŒ

Lost Opportunity

Young people are the most powerful agents of change โ€” but they need a platform to act.

How We Work

A simple, structured process that turns everyday waste into measurable impact.

01

Students Collect

Students bring plastic waste and old garments from home to school. Every item is logged through our platform with brand, quantity, and weight details.

02

Volunteers Verify

Trained school volunteers inspect and verify each submission, ensuring accuracy and quality. They approve collections and generate QR-coded labels for each bag.

03

Impact is Measured

Each verified submission earns Eco Points and contributes to the student's Responsible Citizen Score (RCS). COโ‚‚ savings and tree equivalents are calculated automatically.

04

Materials are Recycled

Verified bags are dispatched to certified recyclers and upcyclers. Plastic is processed into recycled pellets; garments are repurposed or donated.

05

Students are Rewarded

Top collectors earn badges, certificates, and real rewards. Schools compete on leaderboards. The best performers are celebrated at city-wide events.

Our Values

Community First
We build with schools, not for them. Every feature is shaped by real feedback from students, teachers, and volunteers.
Accountability
Every gram of waste collected is tracked, verified, and reported. We believe in radical transparency in impact measurement.
Celebration
We celebrate every small win. A single bottle collected matters. A student who submits for the first time deserves recognition.
Inclusion
Government schools, private schools, rural and urban โ€” every school and every student deserves access to this programme.
